Well hello beautiful Highlites. Everyone living high on happiness? Living your best life as it is said? Me too. I thought I would do a post on my trending bags that were thrifted, Some were a thrift haul a year or two ago, while others were purchased in a thrift haul this year.

People who love thrift stores really love thrift stores.I like thrift shopping. I'm not that girl that thinks I'm to good to wear something somebody already has worn. Nope! That's not me, if it's something I really like gently worn — no holes, no stains — I take it right to neighborhood cleaners and it looks good as new.

Thrift stores have been gaining in popularity over the last few years. My favorite thrift store is usually so crowded now. When I started thrifting years ago, it was like I had the whole store to myself — but not anymore!

I normally thrift when I'm looking for something in particular or trendy and I don't want to spend a lot of bucks. (My philosophy: Why spend a lot of money on trends when they'll probably out of style in a season or two?) I normally can find just what I'm looking for, but there are those rare occasions I'll go and I won't find anything.

Some people think you can hit up a thrift store, walk right in and find what you are looking for, but there is a technique to thrifting. No rushing! You have to make sure you have time to look through every rack because most times the gems are hidden away.

This is Part 1 of my Trendy Bag Haul, which focuses on straw bags. Each bag in each picture were under five bucks. I added some pom poms on some to give them a even more modern fun look. I know I'm not the only one who's all about saving money — a dollar here, dollar there — and still look fabulous, chic and trendy.

Stay tuned because I have several more to share that were under $5. But in the meantime, I'm curious: How do you guys thrift shop — or do you even thrift shop at all — and what do you look for when you do? Head out to your nearest thrift store and see what treasures you can find. Let me know how you do your thang.

Have a good day and Thanks so much for stopping by and see you next time. Be kind.

xoxo
