Happy Monday Highlites. How's everyone doing? How was you guys' weekend? My weekend was pretty good. On Saturday afternoon I went to a makeup class host by my niece. I'm not very good with makeup, I just do the bare minimum. So the class was very informative for me. I learned a lot of different techniques on everyday makeup looks and then looks for when you're going out on date night with your boo thang.

It was so amazing and wonderful seeing the seasoned women in class be so excited about improving their looks and wanted to stay up to date with makeup trends and products. They were so confident after making their faces up. They had a pep in their steps. I love seeing women taking ownership of their life, doing their thing, what they and not caring who doesn't like it. Just doing it!

And then Saturday evening was date night with my boo thang. We went to the movies to see Proud Mary. It was pretty good. It was predictable but it still was an OK movie. (I love the movie popcorn. I drown it with butter–shame, I know.) Later we went for a bite to eat and to sit down and chill for a bit.

And Sunday is our usual church service day. I serve on the Greeters ministry and my greeting Sunday is the 2nd Sunday of every month so that meant yesterday was my day. Giving God the praises for my blessed life. I'm grateful and thankful for each and everyday. And I'm oh so thankful for you guys also.

In the pictures above I'm wearing a slimming black sweater dress from my closet and the hat was a thrift find and wearing studded heels. Thanks Highlites for stopping by, have a great week, and see you next time.
