Hello beautiful, fabulous Highlites. I hope everyone is doing great. My son decided to move to New York 3 yrs ago after a big layoff on his job. It had been a dream of his as far back as when he was a young boy.

He and I talk everyday, most days 2 or 3 times a day. We always have a conversation about being consistent. When he first moved he didn't understand why his dad and I wanted to hear from him everyday.

We wanted to have a pattern so if he missed a day from calling we would know that something was wrong. Just consistent. As the weeks went by, the months went by, the years went by, we let him know that he didn't have to call as much.

Now, we still talk everyday, but not as many times a day. He has always been the kid that was wise beyond his years. A kid that you could sit down and have a grown up conversations with. He is still that way to this day.

So, when he calls our conversations go on and on because he likes to talk. Our last conversation, we talked about being consistent again. I'm doing a project in my life and he always tells me the important of being consistent for me to be successful.

I listen to him closely because he knows his stuff when it comes to what I'm working. One thing I'm pretty consistent with is dressing a certain way every day for work.

I'm very consistent with the type of clothes and shoes I wear each day. As a result, my friends, family and coworkers know that I love shoes, preferably heels.

And I love dresses and skirts as I have said in many previous posts. This skirt I'm wearing in this post I bought in a local African attire store (the scarf came with it). I saw it in the window and knew I had to have it! I love full skirts. And even better, they work for most body types.

Consistency always leads to excellence. Whatever you do in life always be consistent. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. See you next time.
