Hello Highlites. I hope everyone is doing well. This weekend, my family and I traveled to New York City for a proud moment: my nephew's college graduation from Fordham University.

We also made it a mini vacation, which was oh so fun. I always enjoy when I go to New York. And since my son lives there too, he's our tour guide. (He's a very good one too!) It's always a joy to see him.

He took us to some of the attractions that we hadn't gotten a chance to see during previous visits. We went to Staten Island, where we saw the Statue of Liberty; Grand Central Terminal; The New York Public Library (where Mr.Big jilted Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City: The Movie). Plus, we had some good eats and discovered some great places to shop. So much fun.

I hit the NYC streets in this denim romper (keeping up with the male romper trend) :) It's been a lot of conversation about the men and their rompers. Some people like it and some people are a little offended because they think it's strange for grown men to be walking around in outfits that are similar to baby onesies. I'm not a fan of it, but hey to each their own.

I really don't like saying what another person should wear or what their style should be because I like what I like and I don't want anyone trying to tell me about my style.

So a fun spin to my OOTD are these cute little pom-pom sandals. They added some personality (and color) to my romper and complemented my bag and and turban to perfection. Follow my lead and think of denim as a blank canvas and use your accessories to show off your inner highlite.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
