Hello Beautiful Highlites. I know I've been MIA the last few weeks on the blog, but I'm trying to get back in the swing of things. This outfit......got me feeling real mod. You just can't go wrong in black and white.

The mods were about standing out at a time when not only clothes felt off peg, but life did too. Is it any surprise the mod movement remains relevant today? At it's heart, mod is about bespoke—not about slavishly confirming to a trend, but choosing your own look. About being who you want to be. I think that's why I like the mod fashion so much because I'm always daring to be different and being myself.

Mod fashion was innovative, creative, bold and brash. It ushered in an attitude of "anything goes, do your own thing." It survives because it rarely stays the same. At this time, it encouraged women to be brave and feel free. Mod fashion was mini skirts, A-line dresses, shift dresses, bold colors and patterns.

The suited-up outfit I'm wearing in the pictures above, the colors, the pattern, the slick back hair, the big bold black buttons on this box-like jacket, the bag matching with the same houndstooth pattern, everything about it is screaming mod.

I hope I have inspired someone to live your life being you, wear what you want, say what you want, do what you want and don't fear being yourself. Beyoutiful!

Thanks for stopping by and spending time. I hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoy having you. See you next time.
